Expats fined RO2,000 for selling illicit tobacco

Muscat – The Consumer Protection Department (CPA) in Rustaq imposed a fine of RO2,000 on two expatiates for selling illicit chewing tobacco in South Batinah.

In a statement, CPA said, ‘The Consumer Protection Department in the Wilayat of Rustaq, in South Batinah, arrested two expatriate workers for selling chewing, non-smoking tobacco in their shops.’

An administrative fine of RO 2,000 has been imposed on the sellers, it added.
