Fly Dubai starts two weekly flights to Sohar Airport

Sohar – Sohar Airport has seen return of international flights with Fly Dubai operating two direct flights a week to the city from Dubai.

The airline’s first flight landed on Thursday launching the direct line between Sohar and Dubai. The two weekly flights will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays. ‘The inauguration of this direct line comes as a result of the continuous efforts to promote air travel in sultanate and to cope with the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic,’ Oman Airports stated.

‘The return of international flights to Sohar Airport in less than two months since the lifting of the quarantine requirements and ending the requirement of the PCR test upon arrival in the sultanate for those who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine reflects the magnitude of efforts made by Oman Airports in the aspects of uplifting the operational scale of Sohar Airport, as well as the importance of the airport’s strategic status,’ it added.

It further said that the launch of this new line will greatly serve both countries as it will revive economic and tourist activities in the governorates of North and South Batinah.
